About the Artist

Ever since she could hold an artists tool, be it a crayon or pencil, Vicki has been teaching herself drawing utilizing her natural creative talents.

A resident of the exuberant landscapes of California's Mojave Desert, Ms.Slade has developed a definitive style working as a fine artist and illustrator, specializing in graphite. Her years as a wildlife artist, the Vice President of The Wildlife Artist Association and coordinator of photo ops were intrinsic in her development as an artist. After many years showing in galleries museums and festivals, she has transcended the world of black and white to immerse herself completely into rich exiting color. Giving free expression to inspiring themes often focused on wildlife and nature.

Her objectives are straightforward: "I want to create what I love, and share these creations with an appreciative public."

Besides her print and original art, she is producing distinctive "Patio Jewelry" in the form of gourd art, fabricated copper and colored glass sun catchers, and beautiful hand painted terra cotta pots. With an ongoing passion for her art and environment, Vicki is certain to achieve more and more acclaim for a unique, vibrant and exhilarating style.
